Dominique Mandonnaud opened the first perfumery in Limoges in 1969.
Thanks to his shop concept, as a place to watch, touch and discover, more than a simple purchase shop, customers can freely access all of the products, all of the perfumes and all of the shades to compare, touch, feel... The shop attendant becomes a hostess at customers' disposal, expert in beauty secrets and ready to disclose them. This new beauty experience is accompanied by a variety of products: the widest range of brand choice, but also a series of new products, impossible to find elsewhere.
The new shop concept seduces everybody and, in 1979, strengthened by its proven success, Dominique Mandonnaud opens eleven new shops with the sign Shop 8. In 1988 he opens one in Paris, as well.
In 1991, 38 Sephora shops managed by the British company Boots add to the 11 Shop 8 perfumeries already in the territory. The doors to luxury and beauty were opened to everyone, thus nourishing a dream: a dream called "Mille et un parfumes" in Belle-Épine, chic, luxurious and sober.
The brand Sephora took the lead in 1994. A symbol of elegance, happiness and freedom, Sephora is Moses's wife in the biblic tradition: a woman described to be young, beautiful, intelligent, courageous, free and generous... in line with the image of modernness and creativity conveyed by Sephora shops.
MPR BUs Events and m.i.c.e.followed in detail every aspect of the big event, which was articulated in 2 conventions, team building activities, city tour and suggestive gala dinner. The claim of the event "Time to fly!", the concept, the locations Hilton in Florence and Villa Castelletti in Signa, the creativity (summarized by the symbolic image of a butterfly to represent Sephora's brand values: elegance, evolution and change) were conceived by MPR to underline the great leap forward that the company wants to take in 2011.
The moments dedicated to work mixed together with entertainment for what turned out to be a great show, where the most authoritative speakers, Alessandro Cattelan's cheerfulness (former MTV VJ), good music and refined food alternated on stage.
The MPR team who followed the event was coordinated by Enza Patruno, by meeting director Valeria Bellini and by Art Director Lorenzo Cecchinelli.
