M.A.R.C.O., the movie directed by Alex Cimini and co-produced by MPR Integrated Communication won the prize for Best Italian Film at the Rome Independent Film Festival.
In competition with more than 120 films, M.A.R.C.O. is the result of an educational project coordinated by director Alex Cimini. Within this project, the most important aspects connected to the realization of a film were discussed together with the students of some highschools in Faenza and Forlì: the language of cinema, the development of an original subject, acting, diction, constructive sharing of information and experience between students and adults and also the importance of the individual's self-esteem.
The film story develops around the life of two brothers, Marco and Filippo, and touches on different topics, such as drugs and crime. The screenplay was written by Germano Tarricone, the soundtrack - all original tracks - was written by Cimini. Actor Ivano Marescotti was also in the cast, playing the character of a psychologist.
It is the second time that MPR Integrated Communication decides to support Cimini's independent productions (last year it supported the film Aisberg), which distinguish themselves for their intelligent language and narrative sensitivity and investigate feelingly the world of young people.
